Designing A Symbol Part Three

Identification, description, and the creation of value are just some of the possible functions of a trademark. The trademark, although a most important key element, can never tell the whole story. At best it conveys one or two notions or aspects of the business. The identity has to be supported by a visual language and a vocabulary.

The best identity designers have a strong understanding of how to communicate effectively through the use of signs and symbols, have a keen sense of form and letter forms, and an understanding of the history of design.

Beyond mere legibility, we aspire to convey our client’s essential nature through imagery that is strong, profound and elegant.
